GORSE BRACKEN AND GRASS: This kind of foliage is not spectacular, but small details such as these help create a rich immersive environment. Walking through gorse bushes will carry a small health penalty because of their razor sharp spikes.
SCOTS PINES: The Scots Pines were created for a Unity community project called UniTree. Its aim was to bring vegetation to the game engine. When Unity 2 was released with its excellent new terrain editor, we UniTree-ers provided content. All flora created for Clan will be donated to UniTree for use in the nature system. It is worth noting both these Scots Pine shots are very early in-game screenshots.
SYCAMORE: Another basic feature of the British landscape, Sycamore's are famous for their 'helicopter' seed cases.
HORSE CHESTNUT: Although the basic world is built around the effects of global warming, the game will be set in a very cold climate and as part of that, the cold seasons Autumn and Winter will feature heavily. As a result all deciduous trees will display appropriate states of colour and canopy cover.
NORWAY SPRUCE: These trees were specifically made to bring an awesome sense of scale which of course exists in nature to breathtaking effect.
