LOCH MONSTERS: After centuries of legend, the lochs of Scotland were finally discovered to be connected by a vast warren of caves miles underground. Prehistoric creatures lived there in peace for millions of years, but rising water levels are increasingly forcing them to the surface. Disoriented and grumpy, they are best avoided. The caves rapidly became a magnet for fortune seekers among rumours of fabulous treasure. Many ventured down, but none ever returned.
URISKS: Small isle
dwellers with goat-like features. They have
a habit of following humans around
which can be unnerving if you happen to be
walking through the woods at night. Their
natural temperament leans towards kindness,
but they can be vicious if angered, so be
nice.
BIRDS: In an environment
where resources are scarce, birds soon
realise humans always carry food.
For a while they only scavenged corpses,
but hunger drives wild creatures to ever
increasing levels of desperation. A flock
of starving birds are deadly as any human
enemy.
GOLDEN EAGLE: With a wing span of 2 metres and huge talons, flocks of starving eagles are absolutely lethal. Once engaged in battle with kings of the sky, you are quite literally fighting to the death.
WILD BOAR: Surviving the Clan world depends on sustaining clan health. Wild boar is a much sought after source of food, but they are difficult to catch and vicious up close on account of those lethal teeth.
